As a professional landscape photographer, I can often be found in remote locations in all kinds of weather using skills I learnt working for adventure sports companies and in the military. I’ve spent years learning and refining my craft and I use the most up-to-date techniques that take full advantage of the latest camera equipment and processing software. I combine my passion for photography with sports that I love and my love of nature. In contrast to this, I ‘m also at home capturing high speed action, dodging flying motocross bikes and freestyle jet skis, or photographing surfers on our wild Atlantic coast. After working at the very top of the photography business in the UK, I’ve come back to my island home to teach photography and continue with commercial photography projects. When not with a student or out on a photo shoot I can be found in my studio editing and trying out new techniques or planning new photoshoots. My motto is “master the technical to free the creative.”
I live in the beautiful village of St Aubin’s Harbour making it easy to get out in the boat to explore the rest of the islands or just spend the night on one of the two castles in St Aubin’s bay! I’m often out in the wild with my dog Redd, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, treading cliff paths or mountain biking. I also have a passion for coasteering and caving and exploring old tunnels from different eras.
